From
1976 through 2009, Vranas & Chioros Realty Group,
Inc. was engaged in various aspects of real estate. These
included multifamily residential, retail, office, and
industrial properties. Along with its affiliates, partnerships,
and clients Vranas & Chioros Realty Group, Inc. was
involved in the ownership, syndication, development, and
management of over 3,000,000 square feet of commercial
real estate and over 2,700 residential units throughout
the Chicago Metropolitan Area. A complete list of properties
is available in another section of this website.
Along
with it brokerage arm the company was involved in approximately
one billion dollars in real estate transactions. The
list of third party brokerage transactions is coming
to these pages soon.
The
company was started in 1976 at 168 N. Michigan Avenue
renting space in a building that it subsequently acquired
25 years later!
After
33 years of great success and friendship, the four principals
sold most of their properties in the period of 2005-2008,
and sold the management arm in summer of 2008. The major
real estate cycles during this 33 year period tested
and forged the strength of their partnership. There
are several jointly owned development pieces remaining
at 5951-63 N. Clark Street, 5970 N. Ridge Ave, 5900
N. Broadway, and 6151 Northwest Highway, all in Chicago.
